The 2026 Canada Jilin Spring Festival celebration concluded successfully in Toronto. Jointly organized by five associations, it brought a "Northeastern flavor" cultural feast to Jilin fellows in Canada.
The event brought together many Jilin expatriates to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The evening featured diverse performances including folk songs and dances, instrumental music, crosstalk and skits, showcasing the unique charm of Jilin culture.
The essential dumplings for the Northeastern New Year's Eve dinner were an important part of the event. Jilin fellow volunteers gathered early to hand-make dumplings. Preparing steaming dumplings for over 200 people was no easy task, but the volunteers worked efficiently with laughter and joy.Officials and councilors present, moved by the festive atmosphere, also joined in to experience the charm of dumpling-making！
The celebration also featured a graduation photography exhibition from the Jilin Association's senior mobile phone photography training program, providing a platform for middle-aged and elderly friends to learn mobile photography and showcase their work, enriching their lives and strengthening the Chinese community.the community's cohesion.
The event was interspersed with fun games and exciting lucky draws. Jilin fellows from all walks of life donated generous prizes, bringing New Year blessings and good luck. Everyone welcomed the Year of the Snake with joy, wishing for good fortune in the new year.
